Gained it and lost it again.....

So, since my last blog I continued to gain weight until I got to a hefty 214lbs!
Since then I have lost that and then some and got down to 190lbs, total weight loss: 24lbs!
How am I doing it this time?
Low Gi, no shakes, so weird pills, no gimmicks.
My "diet" (I say diet, it's a way of eating for life) is filling, low calorie, low fat and tasty and I haven't looked back.
Even the hubbie likes it and we're both exercising too.
This year I'm doing Race For Life, in my mum's memory, so have been training for that. SO lots of lovely changes going on and STILL going on.

Back on track, I think....

So last week I didn't put any stats, and again I haven't lost any weight, could it be I had toad in the hole last night? Hhhhmmmm

Anyway here are my stats:

Weight: 194lbs
Bust: 33" -1 1/2"
Waist: 34" -1"
Hips: 43"
Thigh: 24

Finnily enough, even though I'm bummed out by the figures on the scale, I feel like I have noticed a difference in my clothes. I'm down a notch on my jeans belt, I'm wearing a 14 top now, comfortably.
I went running yesterday (Sunday) did the same run as last week and did it about 15 mins faster, not sure how I do that, but I felt good about it!

Week 4...... no change :(

It's fair to say, the reason there has been no change this week, is because I have had a stressful week and I have no self control.
No I suppose that's no reason, and I should have more self control. But I don't.
The result being me eating A LOT of the things I shouldn't, like caramel shortbread and chocolate clusters. I couldn't stop at one! I had no self control when I went to Morrisons this week and bought all this stuff and so I had to eat it.
So this week, instead of stats, it's confession week I afraid.
I shall refrain this week and endeavor to get back on track and have some amazing results.

Week 3 stats

Hello lovely people!
Week 3, hmmmm, haven't hit the magic first 10lbs yet, however, the weight and inches are definitely coming off, slowly, surely and healthily.
This week I also threw into the mix, a few running sessions, including Race for Life yesterday, which I am so proud of myself for having accomplished on such a warm day!
So today......

194lbs -6lbs


Bust: 34 1/2 -1 1/2"
Waist: 35 -2 1/2"
Hips: 43 -2"
Thigh: 23 1/2 -1"
Arm: 12  0"

So overall, in 3 weeks 6lbs lost (ave. 3lbs a week!) and 7inches lost all over my body!
I'm fitting into clothes I haven't worn since last summer, and even then they were snug. Woo hoo!

Day 14...... week 2 stats

To honest, I expected more this week, as earlier in the week I had weighed less, but today is stats day, so I have to go with the rules..... oh well. So here we go:

Weight: 196lbs -4lbs


Bust: 35" -1"
waist: 35 1/2" -2"
Hips: 44" -1"
Thigh: 24 - 1/2"
Arm: 12" 0"

So at week 2, 4 1/2" lost and 4lbs, which is reasonable weight loss, not mad, as they say the slower it comes off, the more likely you are to keep it off, right?
I have to say, I'm very anxious to lose the weight so, in my mind it's not quick enough. But clothes are fitting better, I'm sleeping better (crucial to weight loss), have more energy, more mentally stable (apart from one glitch clear out of the blue earlier in the week). I am still in the process in coming off my anti-depressants and have another couple of weeks of coming off those, don't know if that's affecting that, Dr's seem to be split in opinion on the long term effects of SSRI's like Celexa. I personally believe that it has affected my weight. We shall see, when I am completely off them.
My goal is to look fabulous at a wedding I'm going to at the beginning of September, with it being a family occasion, the last thing I want is the family grape-vine to gossip that I've let myself go!
This week, I have to stay focused and increase my exercise, I'm doing Race for Life on Sunday, so I need to step it up..... big time!

Day Nine.... feeling amazing!

Ok, so this isn't another one with stats, as that will have to wait until Monday. But I have been neglectful on the food diary portion.
Today I feel like I did everything right, and as a result I am so proud of myself and feel amazing.
Breakfast:
Cappucino Herbalife shake

1Ltr of water

Snack:

2 Kiwi's
Cup of coffee

Lunch:

Formula 1 chocolate bar
Cup of coffee

Snack:
Grapes
Water

Dinner: (and if I do say so myself, it was awesome)

Quorn, beansprout and vegetable stirfry with skinny noodles
Water
Coffee

I haven't felt hungry all day, I feel great and can't wait to see my results next week!

1 week in......

One week in, here are my stats:

Weight: 197lbs -3


bust: 35" -1"
waist: 36 1/2" -1"
hips: 44 1/2 -1/2"
arm: 12" -1/2"
thigh: 24" -1/2"


So after one whole week I have lost a total of 3lbs and 3 1/2" from my whole body! Not too bad for a week, considering I didn't exactly stick to the plan with having vistors this weekend.

Woo hoo! Feeling great!
